FILM. THE SILENT TOUCH (Atingerea mainii)

An elderly composer (Max von Sydow) is coaxed out of retirement by a Polish music student and encouraged to complete his last work. Is it art living our life everyday as humanly as possible, as Helena (Sarah Miles) puts it in the film, or is it art the selfish passion which asks the unconditional sacrifice of everyone around? This film is as much about the art of life as it is about the elusive nature of creativity.
