XIA XIAO WAN

"Chinese artist Xia Xiao Wan has pushed beyond the boundaries of the visual arts by turning flat artwork into three dimensional form. The holographic effect is achieved by using multiple layers of clear glass. Each sheet of glass is decorated separately, then put together on floor racks. With a 360 degree viewing angle, every viewpoint offers a unique and personal experience otherwise unavailable with 2D art."

There is no hope and nothing good in the strange creatures of Xia Xiao Wan. War, violence and brutality, aging and decay. It is the monstrous face of ourselves when we forget how to be human.
